10 Habits to start for 2022

This is the most amazing time to plan out your ideal life. The few months left before 2022 – will give you a head start to achieve your next goals. Whatever your goal, what truly matters is the destination you want to reach. Here’s a list of 10 habits for 2022 to help you get started and make the most of it. I am currently following this and it is helping me immensely in my entrepreneurship journey!

Habit 1: Create a goal list and seek clarity on it

Create an impossible list – Everything that you once thought was impossible. You may get ideas and may want to do a lot of things but , its really important to get clarity on want you truly want to achieve.Categorize into small and big goals and set a timeline. Associate your goals with your vision and mission. A clear goal with your vision will give you the direction and motivation to achieve your goals.

Habit 2: Set an intention and Set systems to achieve your goals

Intention determines everything. How do you intend your morning to be? Do you suffer from sleep inertia? Is something bothering you mentally and emotionally. Its time to address it right. Set an intention that helps you manage your energy while working on daily tasks . It sounds simple but sometimes even for the most audacious goals most folks don’t know what their next steps are. Get really intentional about your goal and visualize yourself achieving it.

Once your intentions are set , set systems to achieve your goals. Systems include the steps, routines and strategies to achieve your goals. Every type of goal has a system and systems help you accelerate quickly to reach the desired goal.

Habit 3: Remove, Block or Avoid – Anything that doesn’t serve your goal, doesn’t direct you towards your destination

A key quality of successful founders, athletes and people is that they take actionable steps in the direction of their vision. They stay away from people and events that don’t help them to reach to the next step of their goal. They don’t focus on people who say NO to them, they try till they get successful. To reach where you want to go, you need to stop focusing on things , events, circumstances that distract you and hamper your progress. Many people suffer from this problem of allowing unwanted things and events to happen in their life.

Which brings me to the 4th habit –

Habit 4: Connect to people who have achieved the success that you want to achieve in life.

You have a life that you are living but there is a life that you have been dreaming. And I am sure you want to enter into that dream life and live it. When you connect with people have done the things you want to do before you, you get a pathway to reach your goals by avoiding costly mistakes. The advice can be super valuable specially while building startups and coming up with innovations. These people have played the cards right and it’s very important to learn that strategy for you to quickly accelerate and reach your goals.

When you associate yourself with people who are living your dream life, you are far away from negativity and people who think that achieving the impossible is not possible. That’s truly the first step for allowing success into your life. Your mindset keeps getting stronger connecting with right people and one day surely you will find yourself achieving the milestones and goals you have set for yourself.

Habit 5: Self confidence builds with experience

I am a person who can’t fake till I make it. My experience with improving confidence is other way around. For me self- confidence and experience work with time. In reality, confidence is truly built when you keep trying new things, new steps or perform any new tests.Whether you are starting a new business, trying to get rid of an old habit or trying to learn a skill, go with what you have. When you take a bold step towards your goals , you will be going through challenges, anxieties and even resistance.

This doesn’t make you less of a human or doesn’t make you weak. In fact, it brings your best self out of you. When you try something new, you open yourself to a new experience. You learn something new and that itself is enriching. When you learn something new, you grow and that itself is a confidence builder. Whether failure or success , you use your experience as a way to deal with uncertainty of the future. Your courage and knowledge will help you solve other complex problems of life. You fighting a situation – itself a sign of growth and you should not be less confident after knowing this!

Habit 6: Learn something new daily

Sounds cliche but really isn’t when you start living this principle. I learn something new daily – from something as small as a concept to practicing a new skill or networking with a new person. Learning something new daily helps us expand our awareness , make our brains more stronger and distract us from our worries. It also gives us the confidence to be more social and make better conversations with people. Eventually, it adds a lot of power to your self esteem and improve your overall personality. I am so used to this habit now that I have unsettling feeling if I don’t learn something different everyday. And that’s a positive change I don’t want to let go in my daily life.

Habit 7: Practice self care

All that you are working on, requires massive amounts of energy and endurance. You need to have enough energy to take action. Don’t treat health as an option, it should be a priority. Treat yourself right mentally and physically. For your brain health , managing stress and getting optimal performance, exercise is vital. Science has already proved it and I don’t have to say it more as most folks already know it.

But overall the key to a healthy and great life is – Hydration (Drinking water), Exercise, Eating Healthy, Mindfulness , Meditation and Sleep. You really need you !

Habit 8: De-clutter your environment

Clean and organized spaces help boost your creativity. Doing basic tasks organizing upholstery , bedding in the morning, doing laundry on time and starting work on a clean desk boosts your mood and confidence and makes you productive. These small tasks give

Even on social media. Organize your feed and follow channels that help you stay positive and give you necessary knowledge and news to help you grow. Most accounts on social media try to tell us that everything should be perfect. But truly reality is distorted and somehow most of us are stuck with illusions. It’s time to get unstuck and understand life little deeply .

Habit 9: Take your time while making decisions (if possible)

In certain situations, we have to take decisions in a short frame of time. But when time permits and you have to make a decision, take it slowly. Analyze the challenges and outcomes. Weigh the pros and cons about a decision. Don’t take decisions on autopilot. Taking your time and knowing what can be anticipated in the future, helps you make them better. Give yourself the time to sleep on complex problems. But here is one thing to remember – Don’t regret about the decision you have taken. You can surely change some of your decisions even after finalizing something.

Most important – Let go of regret ! When you take a decision , just go with it. Don’t regret about it afterwards – you took that decision because it was right at that time.

Habit 10: Just because you are busy, doesn’t mean you are productive.

Your time is precious. Every hour, minute and year counts! What you do matters. Find out time wasters and focus on things that really matter. Identify what is stopping you to be productive. If some tasks appear to be repetitive, finish them quickly and don’t ponder about them. If something can be delegated, give it to that freelancer. The easiest way to be productive is to focus on finishing tasks and activities that matter. This helps reduce maximum amount of stress and anxiety during the day. Don’t get occupied into faux hustle and let anxiety creep in, get occupied into focused and important tasks. That’s where you can nail productivity !
